Attijari bank generated net banking income of 551.7 million dinars in Tunisia over the first nine months of 2026, up 3.6% year on year, according to its indicators published on Monday 19 October by the Financial Market Council. This growth comes with a decline in the outstanding amount of loans to customers.
Income from the investment portfolio reached 214.1 million dinars between January and September, an increase of 54.1% compared with the same period of 2025. It offset a 8.1% fall in interest and similar income, which dropped to 520.5 million dinars.
In total, banking operating income rose by 3.3% to 907.6 million dinars, while banking operating expenses increased by 2.9% to 355.8 million. The difference between the two forms net banking income, which measures the revenue from banking activity before other charges and the calculation of net profit.
In the third quarter alone, net banking income came to 177 million dinars, compared with 176.2 million a year earlier, an increase of about 0.5%.
Outstanding loans to customers stood at 6.57 billion dinars at 30 September, compared with 6.92 billion a year earlier. This is the amount of loans still recorded on the books, not only loans granted since January.
Deposits, by contrast, rose by 9.4% year on year to 12.38 billion dinars. Sight deposits gained 9.2% to 5.94 billion, and savings accounts 7.9% to 4.17 billion.
