b-economik is committed to publishing accurate, verified and signed content. When an error is identified, the editorial team corrects it as quickly as possible and says so. This page describes how errors are handled and how to report them to us.
Types of Corrections
- Typo : a spelling, grammar or typographical error with no effect on meaning, corrected without any specific note.
- Factual error : a figure, amount, date, name, title or inaccurate quotation. The correction is applied and noted at the bottom of the article, with its date and subject.
- Substantive error : an incorrect main point. The article is amended, the correction is noted at the bottom of the article and, if necessary, at the top.
- Removal : content that goes against our editorial standards or the law may be unpublished; the removal is then explained.
In economics, an error in a figure can influence decisions: we treat any error concerning an amount, a rate or a price as a factual error, never as a typo.
