Air Côte d'Ivoire and Air France announced on Monday 19 October an agreement to share codes on the Paris-Abidjan route, applicable from 25 October. Presented in Ajaccio at the meeting of the Association of French-speaking Air Carriers, the cooperation will allow each airline to sell the other's flights under its own code.

Air France will thus sell seats on Air Côte d'Ivoire aircraft linking Paris-Charles de Gaulle with Abidjan's Félix Houphouët-Boigny Airport. The Ivorian carrier will do the same on flights operated by its French partner, according to its statement.

For passengers, the agreement brings together in each carrier's offer the schedules operated by the two airlines. It covers the sale of flights and their commercial identification, with no announcement of additional frequencies.

Air Côte d'Ivoire's chief executive, Laurent Loukou, plans to extend this cooperation to other destinations on the Air France network before the end of the first half of 2027.

The Flying Blue and sMiles loyalty programmes are also due to be aligned by the end of 2026. Flying Blue members will be able to earn and use miles on Air Côte d'Ivoire flights between Paris and Abidjan. sMiles members will be able to accrue miles on Air France flights on that route and, eventually, use them across the entire Air France network.
