The Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) has set 17 November 2026 as the date for the first listing of the green bond issued by Swami Agri, a Senegalese agricultural company, according to a notice dated 14 October. The issue represents FCFA 30 billion already subscribed.
The three million securities, issued at FCFA 10,000 each, carry an annual interest rate of 7% and mature in 2031. Their admission will open a trading phase after subscription, held from 20 July to 28 August. The entitlement date, from which interest accrues, is 4 September.
The reference price will be FCFA 10,000 for the first session, but trading prices will result from buy and sell orders. The securities will be identified by the code SWAS.O1. Impaxis Securities is responsible for their listing.
Founded in 2021 and wholly owned by Senegindia, Swami Agri grows potatoes and onions, among other crops. It will earmark the proceeds to strengthen its agricultural and storage capacity. Storage is used in particular to spread the availability of potatoes and onions beyond the harvest periods, according to the Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture.
In March 2025, the ministry announced the inauguration of a 15,000-tonne cold room belonging to Swami Agri, bringing the company's declared total storage capacity to 105,000 tonnes.
