MSALABS's laboratory at the Koné gold mine in Côte d'Ivoire began receiving samples between July and September 2026, according to its parent company, Capital, in an activity update published on 15 October.

The group is also preparing to commission a commercial laboratory in Korhogo, in the north of the country. The first samples are expected there in the fourth quarter, according to the same document.

MSALABS provides geochemical analysis services to exploration and mining companies. Its offering includes, in particular, the preparation of drill cores and rock samples, as well as metal analysis, according to Capital.

Activity at Koné accompanies the start of production at the site operated by Montage Gold. On 27 September, the producer announced a first pour carried out the previous day, of about 1,140 ounces of gold. It expects to reach commercial production on the oxide ore processing circuit in the fourth quarter of 2026, while completion of the circuit for hard rock is still expected in the second quarter of 2027.
