Jonas Daou, chief executive of the Zener group and former president of the Association of Large Companies of Togo, argued on 22 October in Lomé for a research and innovation tax credit and a tax regime tailored to startups, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Presented at the third AGET Universities, his proposals aim to support agricultural and industrial transformation. The ministry's representative, for her part, defended a strategy of formalisation and broadening the tax base.
