Maurel & Prom lifted its Gabonese revenue to 345 million dollars over the first nine months of 2026, a 22% rise year on year, despite a 10% fall in its local output, according to figures published on Thursday 22 October.
The French group's share of output on the Ezanga permit, in which it holds 80%, came to 13,710 barrels per day over the period. The company attributes this decline to a scheduled shutdown in June and to water injection problems that are still being resolved.
Maurel & Prom plans to launch a well stimulation campaign before the end of the year to improve the field's potential. This operation targets future production and does not yet constitute an observed recovery in volumes.
The group's average oil sale price reached 98.8 dollars per barrel over nine months, up 40% from 2025. Across the group, total production on a net-interest basis rose by 4% to 39,126 barrels of oil equivalent per day, while consolidated revenue increased by 17% to 574 million dollars.
Gabon accounted for about 60% of this consolidated revenue. The seismic campaign on Ezanga covered 575 kilometres, and the group says it is continuing discussions with the Gabonese authorities on developing the Etekamba gas licence, with one or two wells planned for 2027.
