Total, Gepetrol and Tradex have announced new fuel deliveries expected from 16 to 23 October in Equatorial Guinea, according to a report from the Prime Minister's office published Wednesday 14 October. These commitments come as the government seeks to resolve the country's supply difficulties.

Total plans two cargoes of 10,000 and 11,000 tonnes for Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October, destined for the island and mainland regions. Gepetrol announces 3,000 tonnes of petrol and diesel on 21 and 22 October, while Tradex plans 5,000 tonnes on 22 and 23.

The three distributors presented their schedules at a meeting chaired on Tuesday 13 October by Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua. He asked for close monitoring of the commitments in order to anticipate incidents that could interrupt supply.

The forecasts presented also cover the end of the year. Tradex is considering 10,000 additional tonnes in November and December, split at 5,000 tonnes per month. Total, for its part, plans 10,000 tonnes in November, according to the same report.

The companies reported financial and administrative difficulties affecting their operations. The Prime Minister instructed the Finance and Treasury departments to examine the payment obstacles raised by the distributors.
