The Chamber of Petroleum Products Distributors of Ghana, COMAC, forecasts a 16.98% to 18.50% rise in the price of liquefied petroleum gas for the period from 16 to 31 October 2026, according to its new price bulletin issued on 14 October. Its projections, by contrast, point to a decline in petrol and diesel.
The professional organisation estimates the price of LPG at 20.60 cedis per kilogram in the scenario based on cash purchases, an increase of 16.98%. In the credit purchase scenario, its estimate reaches 20.90 cedis. These amounts are forecast selling prices, not tariffs already observed across all distributors.
For petrol, COMAC anticipates a 1.20% to 1.67% decline. The projected price stands at 17.67 cedis per litre based on cash purchases, compared with 17.97 cedis in the credit scenario. Diesel is expected to fall by 2.60% to 3.32%, to 19.30 and 19.60 cedis per litre respectively.
The bulletin reports diverging trends for refined products on the international market. Among the indicators used for this pricing window, LPG rose 7.77%, while petrol fell 3.93% and diesel 6.68%.
COMAC says the joint government-industry intervention mechanism continues to cushion diesel increases. In its regulatory breakdown for the second half of October, this support is set at 2 cedis per litre of diesel.
