Senegal mobilised 338.2 billion FCFA in its second public savings call of 2026, which closed on 13 October, the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Plan announced on Wednesday 14 October. The amount exceeds the initial target of 200 billion FCFA by 138.2 billion.

The coverage ratio reached 169.1%, according to the ministry's statement. The funds raised are to contribute to budget expenditure, as well as active debt management and the clearance of domestic debt, under the 2026 Finance Law.

The placement comprises four maturities. The announced interest rate is 6.40% for three years, 6.60% for five years, 6.75% for seven years and 6.95% for ten years.

Invictus Capital & Finance is the arranger and lead manager of the transaction, with CGF Bourse as co-lead manager, the ministry said in its September presentation.

The first public savings call of the year had raised 304.15 billion FCFA when it closed on 26 March, against a target also set at 200 billion. The ministry had then announced a coverage ratio of 152% and the same interest rates for the four placement durations. The second operation thus brings in about 34.05 billion FCFA more than the first.
